Abingdon VA a last minute scheduled stop on our way from one place to another. I thought we could take in a play at The Barter Theatre, but we were a little too tired to attend the day we arrived and there wasn’t a showing the following day. We checked out the historic main street area and surrounding rural life. We visited The Arts Depot which houses several artists’ work spaces and galleries. It was a well thought out experience housed in a 19th century freight station. Mary wanted to start looking at homes for sale.
